Setup Oracle Restart

Setting up standalone Oracle databaes on ASM is also known as Oracle Restart. We setup Automatic Storage Management (ASM) using Oracle Grid software. Hence, your server needs minimum of 8 GB RAM to acommodate both Grid and Database instances.

What will you learn in this Xperiment?

• Setup server for Gid and Database installation

• Format and create ASM disks

• Download and install Oracle Grid and setup ASM

• Download and install Oracle 19c

• Create standalone database on ASM (called as Oracle Restart)

Prerequisites

You must have basic knowledge on Oracle Grid architecture, ASM architrecture and experience in administering Oracle 19c database.
